Pillow Mapping™ by Sanctuary Sleep Co.

Quick answer: Pillow Mapping™ is a short, in-person session that shows how your head and neck press into a pillow. A thin pressure-sensing mat sits under the pillow, and a laptop shows the result as a colored map in seconds. It helps you see and compare pillow setups. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything.

How it works

  • You lie on a table with the pillow you normally use.
  • A pressure-sensing mat under the pillow records how your head and neck load it.
  • A laptop shows the map in seconds. The session takes about five minutes.
  • You can compare pillows and positions, and take your personal report with you.

Why we built it

Most of us choose a pillow by feel and never see what it's doing for eight hours a night. A pressure map turns "it feels a bit off" into a picture you can look at and compare. Pillow Mapping™ observes, visualizes and compares. It is not a medical test.

Pillow Mapping™ has its own home at pillowmapping.com.

Pillow Mapping™ is not a medical service and doesn't diagnose, treat or assess any condition. Pressure maps show contact patterns from raw, uncalibrated mat readings, so we compare patterns, not absolute pressure.

Head and neck support change with Crown Lift

We don't guess at what we think you might need, we base it on hundreds of pillow mapping data and then make that choice.

Think of head support in your pillow just like you support your body with fuel or your feet with supportive shoes.
