Find Out How The Crown Lift® System Can Change Your Sleep
The Crown Lift System is a modular head support system designed to prevent head sink and improve overall sleep. Basically, you know how your head sinks back in your pillow? It's not supposed to do that!
Unlike traditional pillows that focus only on the neck, the Crown Lift system works by supporting the crown of the head, helping to redistribute head weight so the neck is not forced to carry the load. You know how your head feels like it's sinking back into your pillow or you're looking up at theceiling? That's head drop, and the Crown Lift works to stop that drop sooner by lifting at the crown, not the neck.
The system includes interchangeable lift inserts that slide inside most pillows, allowing you to adjust height and support without replacing your pillow. This makes it adaptable to different sleep positions, pillow types, and comfort preferences. Rather than being a pillow itself, The Crown Lift System acts as a foundation for your pillow, enhancing its ability to support your head while allowing the neck to rest naturally. Supporting the crown of the head helps reduce head drop, an often overlooked factor in sleep discomfort and poor alignment.
Most traditional cervical pillows are fixed in shape and height, meaning they assume one ideal posture that doesn't account for differences in body type, sleep position, or spinal sensitivity. This can lead to excessive pressure on the neck or force the head into positions that don't feel natural for many people.
The Crown Lift System works differently. Instead of pushing up into the neck, it focuses on supporting the crown of the head, allowing the neck to rest without carrying unnecessary load. By stabilizing the head first, overall alignment is able to settle more naturally.
Because the system uses interchangeable lift inserts, support can be adjusted without changing pillows or relying on rigid, one size fits all design. This makes it adaptable for side, back, or combination sleepers and for those who struggle with traditional pillows.
Rather than forcing posture, the Crown Lift insert System is designed to work within your existing pillow to improve head support, letting alignment follow instead of being forced. As reported by users, the Crown Lift system helps reduce excessive head sink and supports more neutral head positioning, which may ease added neck strain during sleep.
- Adjustable. head support with interchangeable lift inserts, allowing you to fine tune height without changing pillows.
- Crown first support design that helps to prevent excessive head sink and reduces unnecessary load on the neck.
- Works inside your existing pillow, so you don't have to replace what you already use and love.
- Adaptable across sleep positions, including side, back, and combination sleeping
- Gentle non-rigid support, that avoids forcing the head or neck into fixed positions
- Designed for long term use, with flexibility to adjust as comfort needs change over time.
Many high orthopedic pillows are designed around a fixed shape or preset height, offering a specific type of support that works well for some sleepers but not all. While they are thoughtfully designed, their structure typically can not be adjusted once you begin using them.
The Crown Lift System takes a different approach. Rather than replacing your pillow with a single design, it works inside your existing pillow and allows to adjust head support using interchangeable lift inserts. This makes it possible to fine tune height and feel over time, instead of adapting your body to a fixed pillow shape.
By focusing on supporting the crown of the head rather than relying on rigid cervical contours, the system offers flexibility that can adapt to different sleep positions, comfort preferences, and changing needs, night to night or season to season.
The Crown Lift works differently than a traditional pillow. To set them up inside your pillow we have created a little guide for you below.
It is not designed to lift your neck. It is designed to support the weight of your head so your neck and shoulders can finally relax.
Taking a few minutes to position it correctly makes all the difference.
Step 1: Place the Crown Lift Inside Your Pillow. Unzip your pillow or open the pillowcase and place the Crown Lift inside the pillow. Center it under where the back of your head naturally rests when you lie down.
The Crown Lift should sit under the crown of your head, not under your neck and not under your shoulders.
If you are unsure, this is the easiest way to tell: when you lie down, your neck should rest on the pillow itself while your head rests on the Crown Lift.
Step 2: Always Start with the Lowest Lift. Begin with the lowest lift height. Even if you think you need more support, do not start high.
The goal is gentle head support, not height. More lift is not better. Correct placement is what matters.
Step 3: Lie Down and Let Your Head Settle
Lie on your back in your normal sleep position and allow your head to settle naturally into the pillow. The Crown Lift should feel like it is quietly holding your head, not pushing it upward.
You may notice less pulling in your neck, less pressure at the base of your skull, and your shoulders feeling heavier and more relaxed. If your neck feels forced upward, the lift is too high or placed too far under your neck.
Step 4: Adjust Only If Needed. After a few minutes, check how your body feels.
If your head still feels like it is sinking too low, you may try the next lift height. If you feel strain, pressure, or tension, go back down to a lower lift or reposition it slightly toward the crown of your head.
Many people stay on the lowest or middle lift long term. Higher is not better. The correct lift is the one that feels calm and supportive.
Step 5: Use It Consistently. Use the Crown Lift every night for several nights in a row. Your body may need time to adjust to proper head support, especially if you have spent years compensating with your neck and shoulders.
This adjustment period is normal.
Important Things to Remember:
The Crown Lift supports your head, not your neck.
It works inside your pillow, not on top of it.
You should feel supported, not propped.
If it feels wrong, it is usually just too high or positioned incorrectly.
Once it is placed correctly, most people say, “Oh… now I get it
**It is totally normal to need an adjustment period. Your head has been unsupported for most of your nights, so an adjustment period is expected.
It's not that it necessarily matters more it just means that it is just as important. Most pillows are designed to support the neck first, assuming the head will naturally fall into the correct position. But for many sleepers, this causes the head sink, tilt, or drop backward, placing extra strain on the upper cervical area.
The Crown Lift System takes a different approach by supporting the crown of head first. When the head is properly supported, its weight is more evenly supported, its weight is more evenly distributed, allowing the neck to rest instead of bearing the load.
By stabilizing the head from above rather than pushing up from the neck, overall alignment can settle more naturally. This helps reduce excessive head drop and the pressure that often comes from pillows that focus only on cervical support.
In short, head support sets the foundation and alignment follows.

Many people exploring the Crown Lift System are doing so during periods of restful recovering or heightened sensitivity, when traditional pillows feel uncomfortable or overly rigid.
Because we are not a medical device, the Crown Lift System focuses on gentle head support and adjustability, allowing users to fine tune how their head is supported without forcing the neck into a fixed position. This flexibility can be especially important when comfort needs change over time.
Because the system works inside any pillow and emphasizes crown-first support, it offers an option for those who are looking for more adaptable, non-rigid approach to head support during rest.
As with any sleep related product, individuals should follow guidance from their healthcare provider when choosing sleep support.
No. The Crown Lift System was created to address a gap in how most pillows support the head, but its design is not limited to specific ailments or issues and should not be considered as used for spinal conditions as it is not a medical device.
Many people use the Crown Lift System simply because they notice their head sinks too deeply into traditional pillows or that neck-focused designs don't feel comfortable over time. By supporting the crown of the head, the system helps provide a more balanced, adaptable form of head support that works for a wide range of sleepers.
Whether someone is looking for improved comfort, better head support, or a more adjustable sleep set up, the Crown Lift® System offers flexibility and supportive comfort.
